About Us
Lotus Events is a non-profit 501©3 corporation. We facilitate real-world interaction and mutual support for caregivers of children diagnosed with pediatric cancers. Lotus Events' mission is to assist the pediatric cancer community with Lifting Ourselves Through Understanding and Support (LOTUS). Lotus Events plans multiple events throughout the year for the caregivers, children fighting cancer and their families. Most of these events are advertised within our closed Facebook group Lotus Events (Members Only). For larger public events, other means of advertising are used to reach as many families affected by cancer as possible in our area.

Lotus Events (Members Only), Facebook Group sponsored by Lotus Events, is utilized to easily connect and manage meeting opportunities between pediatric cancer caregivers in the Houston area. It is a group born out of the need to support - and be supported - through one of the most difficult things a parent can experience: their child's diagnosis and treatment for a cancer. Every one of the founders of Lotus Events has been deeply affected by their own child's struggles and triumphs, and has forever been altered by adding the term "primary caregiver" to their self-descriptions.

Who We Are
The founders of Lotus Events are caregivers of children who have had or are currently fighting a battle with cancer. Being the parent of a cancer fighter is often a long and lonely road.
What We Do
Lotus Events plans Houston area events such as Family Movie Nights at local theaters and also hosts an annual weekend retreat for mothers of childhood cancer patients to Relax, Refuel, and Refresh them for returning back to their daily activities included with cancer care.
